DevOps for SOC 2, HIPAA, PCI DSS, and other US compliance requirements
For most US companies, the first serious DevOps question comes from a customer, auditor, or investor: how are releases approved, who has access to production, and what evidence can you show? Our DevOps services in the USA are built to produce that evidence as a normal by-product of delivery.
| Framework or rule | Who typically needs it | What DevOps provides | Our boundary |
|---|---|---|---|
SOC 2 (AICPA Trust Services Criteria) | SaaS and service companies selling to enterprises | Change management records, access reviews, logging and monitoring, backup and recovery evidence, vulnerability management | We support readiness. An independent CPA firm issues the report. |
HIPAA Security Rule | Covered entities and business associates handling PHI | Encryption, audit controls, access logging, backups, and environment separation | HHS does not certify HIPAA compliance. We sign a BAA where we handle PHI. |
PCI DSS (v4.0.1) | Merchants and service providers that store, process, or transmit card data | Network segmentation, secure SDLC, logging, and scanning, plus designs that keep card data with your payment provider to reduce scope | We support your QSA. We do not certify. |
NIST CSF 2.0 and SP 800-53 | Companies using NIST as a baseline or selling to government-linked buyers | Control mapping and automated checks in pipelines | Framework mapping, not certification. |
GLBA Safeguards Rule | Non-bank financial companies, such as lenders and fintech | Access control, encryption, change control, and monitoring that support a written information security program | Your compliance team owns the program. |
SOX IT general controls | Public companies and those preparing to list | Approval trails, segregation of duties, and change records for financial systems | Your auditors define the scope. |
State privacy laws (e.g. CCPA/CPRA) | Companies holding consumer data in covered states | Data inventory support, access and deletion workflows, security safeguards | Legal interpretation stays with your counsel. |
What we do not take on
We do not take workloads that require US-person-only access or US-sovereign environments, such as ITAR-controlled data, certain CUI under defense contracts, and FedRAMP High or DoD-level systems. If your requirements include these, we will say so in the first call.
This is general information, not legal advice. Confirm obligations with your compliance advisor or counsel.
DevSecOps services in the USA: audit-ready delivery pipelines
Our DevSecOps services in the USA build security and audit evidence into the delivery pipeline, so compliance comes from shipping and not from a separate project.

DevOps outsourcing for US companies: contracts, data handling, and vendor risk
Whether you choose DevOps outsourcing in the USA to a US-based or an offshore DevOps services provider, your security and legal teams will ask the same questions. We answer them up front.
Delivery model
We are an India-based company. Our engineers work remotely from India. We state this in every proposal and security review.
Contracts
We work under a master services agreement, NDA, and statement of work, with IP assignment to you, defined SLAs, breach-notification timelines, and termination assistance. Contracts and invoices are in USD.
Data handling
Your workloads and data are hosted in the US cloud regions you choose, in accounts you own. Our engineers reach those environments remotely, using SSO and MFA, least-privilege access, and session logging. Access is granted per engagement and removed at exit. We list subprocessors in writing. If your policy requires that data be accessed only from inside the US, tell us in the first call (see “What we do not take on” above).
Vendor security reviews and our own controls
We complete security questionnaires such as SIG and CAIQ and provide supporting documents. We do not hold SOC 2 or ISO 27001 certification today. Our own environment runs SSO and MFA enforcement, least-privilege access control, encrypted data at rest and in transit, and logged, reviewed production access. Ask us for current detail in your first call.
HIPAA and regulated data
Where we may touch PHI, we sign a BAA and work only in environments configured to meet your requirements.
DevOps consulting services in the USA: CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, monitoring, and cost control
Our DevOps consulting services in the USA cover five areas, each set up for US compliance reviews and US-region hosting. For tooling and technical detail, see our DevOps services page.
CI/CD pipeline and release management
We replace manual releases with an automated CI/CD pipeline using continuous integration and continuous delivery, with approvals and rollback. Every release leaves a change record your auditor can sample.
Cloud infrastructure and infrastructure as code
We design and run cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud in the US regions you choose, defined with infrastructure as code so environments are repeatable and recoverable.
Monitoring, alerting and incident response
We implement monitoring and alerting with defined incident response ownership, so failures are detected and escalated before customers notice.
Backup and disaster recovery
We configure backups, test restores against agreed recovery objectives, and keep the test records for your auditors.
Cloud cost optimization (FinOps)
We attribute cloud spend to products and teams, remove waste, and plan commitments around your budget cycle, including the point when startup credits end.
Planning a move to the cloud? See our cloud migration services. For deeper reliability work, see our SRE services, and for deeper cost work, see our cloud cost optimization service.
DevOps for startups, SaaS, healthcare, and fintech companies in the USA
Each US segment has its own compliance pressure and its own calendar. We tailor delivery to both.
DevOps for Startups in the USA
The pressure points are the first enterprise deal, with its security questionnaire, and the cloud credits that run out. DevOps for startups in the USA stays lean: one reliable pipeline, SOC 2-ready foundations, and cost visibility, without over-building.
DevOps for SaaS Companies in the USA
Enterprise customers ask for SOC 2 reports, uptime history, and a clear incident process. DevOps for SaaS companies in the USA delivers repeatable releases, tenant-safe environments, and the evidence behind your trust page.
DevOps for Healthcare Companies in the USA
Health tech faces HIPAA, BAAs, and PHI environments, with seasonal peaks such as open-enrollment periods. DevOps for healthcare companies in the USA separates PHI environments, logs access, and tests recovery.
DevOps for Fintech Companies in the USA
Fintech and lending platforms face PCI DSS, GLBA, bank-partner reviews, and peaks such as tax season. DevOps for fintech companies in the USA builds approvals, change control, and uptime into delivery.
Managed DevOps services in the USA and dedicated DevOps engineers
A single in-house DevOps hire is hard to find, costly, and a continuity risk. Our managed DevOps services in the USA and DevOps as a service options provide a team, with monitoring, reporting, tested backups, and access reviews, governed by an agreed SLA. If you want to hire dedicated DevOps engineers in the USA, we can embed them in your team and tools, including as DevOps staff augmentation.
| Assessment | Project | Managed DevOps | Dedicated engineers | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Best for | Teams that want an independent review | A defined build, such as a pipeline or SOC 2 foundations | Teams that want operations handled | Teams that want capacity inside their own team |
| Commercial model | Fixed fee | Fixed scope or time and materials | Monthly retainer | Monthly, per engineer |
| You decide | Which recommendations to adopt | Scope and sign-off | Business outcomes | Day-to-day priorities |
In-house team, freelancer, or managed DevOps partner?
| Consideration | In-house hire | Freelancer | Managed DevOps partner |
|---|---|---|---|
| Time to start | A recruiting cycle plus onboarding | Often quick; varies by person | Typically weeks |
| Coverage | One or two people; leave and attrition risk | Limited to one person's availability | Team coverage, with continuity in the contract |
| Compliance evidence | Built over time | Depends on the individual | Part of the standard process |
| Cost predictability | Salary, benefits, and tools | Variable | Fixed or retainer, in USD |
| Knowledge continuity | Depends on one person | Depends on one person | Documented handover |
Billing in USD. Proposals are fixed-scope after a free assessment. A hybrid, with a small in-house technical lead and a partner for depth and coverage, is common.
Book a Free DevOps AssessmentHow to choose a DevOps company in the USA: questions for owners and CTOs
When you compare DevOps companies in the USA and DevOps service providers in the USA, whether US-based or offshore, put these eight questions to each one.
Where is the work done, and by whom?
Ask for a clear answer on employees, subcontractors, and locations.
What is your own security posture?
Ask for a SOC 2 report or ISO 27001 certificate, or a plain description of the controls if they hold neither.
Will you sign what we need?
A BAA, DPA, MSA with IP assignment, and breach-notification terms.
What workloads can you not take?
A good provider names its limits, such as US-person-only requirements.
Who responds when production breaks?
Ask for the on-call arrangement, escalation path, and response commitments in the SLA.
Who owns the accounts, code, and runbooks?
You should, always.
What does transition look like if we leave?
Ask for termination assistance in writing.
What references can you share?
Ask for references from companies at a similar stage and verify them. If a provider has no US references, ask what it can show instead, and treat unverifiable ratings and statistics with caution.
We are happy to answer all eight in your first call.

Sample monthly report
What a US client actually receives
An anonymized, one-page excerpt: deployment frequency up from weekly to daily, change failure rate under 5%, zero failed restore tests, and three access-review findings closed within the month — the same reporting format every managed DevOps client receives. We are not publishing a named US case study on this page until we have one we can verify and attribute.
DevOps services USA: frequently asked questions
Q01What do DevOps services in the USA typically include?
DevOps services in the USA typically include DevOps consulting, CI/CD pipeline automation, cloud infrastructure, monitoring and incident response, DevSecOps, backup and disaster recovery, cloud cost optimization, and managed DevOps. We scope them to your stage, compliance needs, and team.
Q02Do you deliver DevOps services in the United States from the US or offshore?
Our engineering team is based in India. We state this in every proposal and security review so your team can assess it against your vendor policy. Contracts, data handling, and access controls are covered in our delivery model section above.
Q03Can you support SOC 2 readiness and audits?
Yes. We build the change management, access control, logging, and recovery evidence that SOC 2 auditors sample. An independent CPA firm performs the audit and issues the report; we support readiness and do not issue reports.
Q04Will you sign a BAA for HIPAA-regulated work?
Where we may handle PHI, yes, we sign a Business Associate Agreement. HHS does not certify HIPAA compliance, so we describe our controls in detail instead.
Q05Can you help us reduce our PCI DSS scope?
Yes. We design payment flows so card data stays with your payment provider where possible, which reduces the systems in scope, and we support your QSA with logging, segmentation, and scanning evidence.
Q06Do you take workloads that require US-person-only access, such as FedRAMP High, ITAR, or some CMMC work?
No. These require US-person-only access or US-sovereign environments, which an offshore team cannot provide. We will say so in the first call and, where we can, point you to the right type of provider.
Q07How much do DevOps consulting services cost in the US?
Cost depends on the number of environments, system complexity, compliance scope, coverage hours, and whether you need an assessment, a project, managed DevOps, or dedicated engineers. We provide a fixed-scope proposal in USD after a free assessment.
Q08Should we hire DevOps engineers in the US or use a managed DevOps service?
A managed service or dedicated engineers can cover more skills and hours than a single hire, and a hybrid with a small in-house lead is common. See the engagement models above to compare.
Q09Which cloud regions do you use for US workloads?
We work in the US regions you choose, for example AWS us-east-1, us-east-2, and us-west-2, Azure East US and West US regions, and Google Cloud us-central1 and us-east regions. GovCloud and sovereign regions are outside our scope.
Q10What contract terms and security-review documents do you provide?
We work under a master services agreement, NDA, and statement of work, with IP assignment to you, defined SLAs, breach-notification timelines, and termination assistance, in USD. We complete SIG, CAIQ, and custom security questionnaires and list subprocessors in writing. For the full engagement models, see our DevOps services page.
